Old Business:
One last beltsander race to go. And at this writing they are all over and we are moving on to the bike and rodeo show. We
did fairly well at our races this year.
Many thanks to all who were involved.
The helmet law is going to full legislature. The one pertaining to the helmets for 18 year olds and under. More
on that later.
The MMPAC is staying involved with this bill. There was a bill passed to warn motorcyclists about rumble strips
in a couple of places in the state. Unfortunately the cost to place them on the interstate is to costly. There is also a noise
ordinance bill on the books. It was noted that last year there were 18 deaths on motorcycles.
Lou from Friend and Friend in Orono was by and would like to do some supper rides this spring and summer. Possibly starting
on May 7th, will know more about that later. Anyway the ride would be leaving from Friend and Friend in Orono and going somewhere
to eat, such as Lincoln, or Newport etc. Rides would be leaving around 6:00pm.
The bike and rodeo show will be on May 16th, with a rain date of May 17th. This will take place at Dino's. Fee's will
be $5.00 to enter the bike show and $5.00 to enter the rodeo. Games at the rodeo will be the slow race, the plank race, the
ballon toss, and the tennis ball.
Fee's for vendors will be $35.00. Those letters will be ready to go in a couple of weeks. Letters for trophy sponsors
will also be ready.
We had 20 members present and visitors. The meeting was adjounred at 7:00
